Please Note: You will need to set your inventory for each item each day that your kitchen will be open. This number will deplete as you accept orders, eventually transitioning the item to out of stock. |
Setting your Item Inventory Levels
This is a step-by-step guide on how to set your individual item inventory levels in your Retool Cook App. This will set the quantity of any given item on your menu that is available per day that your kitchen is open. You will have to manually set your inventory levels.
1. Open your Retool Cook App and log in to your kitchen.
2. Select "Edit Store Times and Inventory" on the "Settings" page.
3. Select "Add Shift".
4. Select your shift date and time (open time and close time) and select "add shift".
Note: Your "default inventory" will take effect if you leave "inventory by date" here blank. |
5. A list of your menu items will appear next. Here you will set your inventory for each item (under "Quantity") - **NOTE** You must hit the "save" icon next to the quantity field for each menu item.
6. Please also make sure you select "Yes" under "Is visible to your customers?". Only select "No" if you'd like to hide an item from your store completely.
7. That's all! Your inventory is set!
To be sure that you set your inventory properly, you can double check two different ways.
1. Check your "orders" page in the Cook App. Here you'll see a green checkmark next to "inventory" under your scheduled shifts if inventory has been updated. (Tip: pull down this page to refresh if you're seeing a red "x")
2. Check the Cookin (Customer) App! Head to the day of the week that you just set your shift for and take a look at how your store shows to your customers. Are items in stock, or are they showing as "sold out"?
