Check out these great tips from our Cook Success team!
Retool can be a tricky app to use so we've created this page of tips to make sure your experience with the app is as smooth as possible. Check back regularly for new updates!
Lag Time
Retool is a platform on top of which we built our app (Cook App). This means that it can take a second or two for the actions you make in the app to take effect. For instance, logging in can take a moment after you click "log in".
Saving Changes
After making a change to your store, retool takes a moment to save your changes, please give the app a moment. When your changes have been saved, retool will confirm and a message indicating "changes successful" will appear at the bottom of the screen.
Inventory Count (How it Shows on the Customer App)
When you have 1, 2, or 3 orders left of any item on your menu, the app will indicate that to the customer. This is to encourage them to place their order soon before the item sells out.
Any menu item that you have 4+ of would not show a count to your customers.
Logging In
Logging into Retool is a 2-step process!
The first login page you'll see is black/white as seen in the image below. Here, we want you to select "Sign in with Google" and use those credentials to verify yourself. **DO NOT ENTER YOUR KITCHEN LOGIN INFO HERE**
The second login page you'll see is the Cook App login which is pink/white like in the image below. Here, all you do is select "Login" and you'll be in your virtual kitchen!
